Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a direct precursor of NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, also known as Noplus factor). NMN is one of the derivatives of vitamin b3 (nicotinic acid) and the intermediate product of NAD+ biosynthesis. It is a bioactive nucleotide formed by the reaction between the phosphate group and nucleoside containing ribose and nicotinamide.
